This year has represented a whole new blessing as the Lord called me to the position of Director of this ministry. Even though most of my responsibilities have to do with administrative aspects, it is a privilege to know that many people are exposed to the Gospel on a daily basis, and that souls are saved as a result of the radio programs. Holding accountable our missionaries is a responsibility that I must fulfill almost on a daily basis. Praise the Lord the Internet has been a vital tool to keep in touch with each one of our missionaries. The goal is to make sure that the missionaries are having the necessary resources to continue the task that they have been called to do. At the same time, it is important to invest time to pray for the struggles that they face as they seek to expand the number of outlets to air our programs, therefore it is important to give words of encouragement, and why not, even times of fellowship through our conversations.  Ending our calls with a word of prayer, or a passage from the Scriptures, give them the assurance that their ministry is covet with the spiritual support of those of us who work at the headquarters. One of the greatest challenges is to have more churches and believers supporting the proclamation of the Gospel through our programs. I praise the Lord because I have been able to share about Spanish World in several churches. At the end of June I had the opportunity to attend IFCA annual conference. Several pastors showed interest in learning more about our ministry.

Cornelius & Aida Rivera

2011 has been a year of expansion regarding our Christian service.  We have become more involved in an international conference ministry as we have visited our national missionaries.  We have spent time with our missionaries in Perú, Paraguay, Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, and Honduras, and are thankful for their dedication to the expansion of the gospel through radio in their countries. In South America we have had Bible conferences in at least twenty different churches.  The purpose is to strengthen the believers with the Word, and to encourage pastors and elders in the expository preaching of Scripture.  We are convinced that the tendency toward a “light sermon” diet is keeping the churches undernourished and having a damaging effect among evangelicals in Latin America.  Thus, we are committed to the clear exposition and application of the Word wherever and whenever such opportunities arise.  It is for this reason that I am delighted to participate in teaching at the Seminary for Expository Preaching in Honduras.  Please pray that in the midst of all this I might be able to keep up with the production of our radio programs.

David Franco

A believer that has a Christian segment in a radio station in Mexico City accepted to use our programs whenever he might have the chance.  A pastor of a church is seeking to sponsor the programs in a new Christian station. I praise the Lord because He has opened these possibilities in moments when owners of stations are closed to the idea of accepting and transmitting Christian programs.  Please pray that the Lord would open the doors in an important network of stations in Mexico City. Within the next weeks I will have an appointment with the lady that can approve the transmission of the programs. Besides these radio contacts I have also been in touch with pastors to encourage them to use our programs as an evangelistic tool. In May I attended a convention of Baptist churches. I handed out 27 packages with samples of the programs and over ten pastors asked for more information.

Vacation Bible School

Also in a Baptist church I was invited to share about missions during a Vacation Bible School.  Our missionaries Melvin Zelaya (Honduras) and Roberto Acuña (Paraguay) were able to share, though Skype, about the impact of our radio programs in those countries. The children understood the importance of using radio to reach people in situations where is urgent to preach the Gospel.  At the end of the presentation, the person in charge of the missions committee and one of the pastors expressed interest in using a CD with our programs in a welcome kit to be given to those that attend this church for first time.

Ramy Diaz

July was a difficult month to travel since some cities and most of the roads in the country where affected by the heavy rainy season. Tropical storm Emily damaged large areas of the country, nevertheless I am thankful that the Lord allowed me to visit most of the stations that transmit our programs and supplied them with new material.  Back in May I had visited three other regions of the country.  Although the intent was mainly to get acquainted with the stations to which I have been sending programs, while I was in San Juan, I had the opportunity to preach in a church and introduce our ministry. I also visited a couple of new stations in San Juan de la Maguana and in the town of Bani. The owners accepted the samples that I gave them. Hopefully they will agree to air the programs. All of the owners of the stations that I visited expressed their appreciation for our programs.

I praise Him for the opportunity that God gave me to take a computer course. With what I have learned I will be able play, edit, and print the music that I produce in Braille system. Although this course requires the investment of several hours, I will be able to devote more time produce Christian music.

My wife and I keep up with the radio ministry, visiting and sharing the Gospel. I’ve had the opportunity to give some evangelistic concerts in churches in Madrid. We will appreciate your prayers for a project of translation and publication of the book “If God is good why…?” Satan has been actively trying to stop this project several times. Recently as I finished the final draft in Spanish, the whole file was deleted completely from a computer. In spite of this kind of attacks, we keep going on with the project. We praise Him because the Lord has provided a publishing company willing to print and distribute this book in a reasonable price.

Prayer requests:

• We thank Him for the different opportunities that He has given us to share His Word with others
• For the projects that I have to keep producing music through the computer
• For the book that I am translating and for Lord’s provision to finance the publication
• For God’s strength upon Kathy after the surgery that she needed.
