Anibal and Mayelin traveled through several cities in the central and eastern regions of Cuba visiting people that have written expressing their desire to learn more about God. Some of the people visited were believers already. Such was the case with Israel, who has known the Lord for several years. He mentioned that our programs where vital in his first years as a Christian. Now he serves as a pastor in his hometown. Arael is another young Christian that was also visited because he requested some material to grow in his spiritual life. In their visit the Gonzalezes gave him CD’s with our programs to help him in his walk with the Lord; he also decided to take a correspondence Bible course.
His passion for Christ has led him to share the teaching of our programs with his family on a weekly basis. Sonia was a lady that contacted us for the first time several years ago. From the time that she began taking a Bible course through correspondence, she has been diligently returning the lessons. Not only that, she is also sharing the studies and our programs with others.
Sometimes, the people they are trying to visit are not at home, or they have moved. When looking for Violanda, they were told that she didn’t live there anymore. Nevertheless, Mayelin asked the family who now lives there, if they would be interested in listening about our programs. They welcomed them into their house and patiently heard about God’s plan for their lives. At the end of the visit Mayelin gave them several Cd’s of our programs and some literature. They also visited Edilberto, but unfortunately he was out of the country.
His brother, who seemed to be drunk, was somewhat rude to our missionaries, but Anibal was able to tell him about Christ and gave him a couple of Cd’s with our programs. Our prayer is that seed of the Gospel planted in all the visits will find fertile soil in the hearts of those who heard.
