Roberto and Patricia Capdevila accepted the invitation to become our new missionaries in Argentina

With over 40 million people, Argentina is the third country in total population in South America. This country is also the largest speaking country with a mainland of 1,073,500 sq. miles, the second largest in Latin America. Almost 76% of the population claims to be catholic, and another 11% are atheist or agnostics.

Two specific challenges arise from these figures: Many people walking in darkness that must be reached with the Gospel and a lot of territory to cover. But praise the Lord we continue taking the Gospel to this needy country. We are thankful to the Lord for the lives of Fernando and Vanina Fiordeli, who were representing our ministry faithfully within the last three years until April. In May, Roberto and Patricia Capdevila accepted the invitation to become our missionaries in Argentina. The Capdevilas got married 18 years ago and have been blessed with three sons. For several years Roberto and his wife were serving as missionaries with Word of Life in Argentina and Panama. The Lord opened a new opportunity of ministry for them and for eleven years Roberto served as a pastor in the southern part of Argentina. Couple of years ago they accepted a pastoral ministry in Villa Carlos Paz. God gave us the opportunity to meet the Capdevilas and they applied to serve with Spanish World Ministries. After seeking for God’s direction, the board of directors decided to invite the Capdevilas to represent our ministry in this country.

We praise the Lord because 93 stations have accepted to that broadcast our programs in Argentina, but with 40 million of people, most of them not having a personal relationship with Christ, our desire is to expand the number of stations airing our programs, and more believers sharing the Gospel through our App and through social media. Roberto and Patricia have a clear understanding of the call that they have received to serve through Spanish World Ministries. We will appreciate your prayers for the training process and the visits to churches and to radio stations that Roberto will be planning within the next weeks.
