Only 11% of the population claim to be Evangelicals in Uruguay

During the first part of this year Eduardo visited 19 radio stations to introduce our programs. Five station were added to our data base increasing to 60 the number of stations broadcasting our programs. This numbers acquire a special relevance when according to the last census 47% of the population claim to be Roman Catholics and 40.89% professes no religion. Only 11% claim to be Evangelicals. These numbers make us realize about the urgency of spreading the good news of salvation in Christ all over Uruguay. Under this conviction, Eduardo has been trying to visit churches to encourage the believers to make use of the evangelistic tools that our ministry provides through the radio programs, or through the material available through our App for smart devices and through our web site.

Few months ago Eduardo and the pastor of his church traveled through different regions of Uruguay to visit radio stations. As he was got into the town of Curtina, he visited the only station in this small town. The owner was a police man who also was serving as a pastor of a small Baptist church. As he heard about the purpose of our ministry, he immediately accepted the programs. During the conversation, Eduardo noticed that the station was lacking of certain documentation require to broadcast. I asked him if he would not have problems with the authorities to transmit, and he answered that since it’s a very small town, nobody cares about this small station. At the end of the visit, this pastor was very thankful for suppling him with our radio programs. We praise the Lord because the population in this small town will have the opportunity to hear about Christ’s sacrifice as our programs are broadcasted every weekend.
