Venezuela has been confronted with serious social problems that seem endless. While certain sectors of its population show their loyalty to the current government, the economy is collapsing. The shelves in the grocery stores are a daily reminder of the distress of its population. The crime is another factor that plays a huge role in the instability that affects every Venezuelan. Kidnappings, home invasions and armed robbery, are taking place even in residential neighborhoods in Caracas and in every important city of this country. Usually these situations end in homicides as victims who resist are routinely killed. Many gangs operate with total freedom due to the lack of police presence. It is in this context where as a ministry we have decided to keep spreading the proclamation of the only message that offers real peace and hope, the message of salvation in Christ. Thanks to the faithful service of our missionaries Antonio and Julia, currently our programs are broadcasted through 90 radio stations. It means that 800 times per week our programs are reaching the ears of thousands of people that live in constant distress. Since March of this year, Francisco and Yaqueline became part of our ministry. Since they leave in a Marcay, our trust is that he will have the opportunity to contact more radio stations in the northern part of Venezuela, and eventually in other regions as the Lord provides him the opportunity to travel.

The first challenge for Francisco was to get acquainted with the different responsibilities that as a missionary he most fulfill. Luis Prada, our missionary in Colombia, Luis Prada, traveled to Maracay to provide a one week training to Francisco. Thanks to the tutoring provided by Luis, Francisco has acquired a greater understanding of the strategies that he can develop to increase the number of broadcasting of our programs. In May, he contacted a pastor in the border with Colombia. This pastor launched had the conviction that radio is an effective way to reach people with the gospel. The elders of this church approved certain funds to buy airtime in a local radio station. All what the pastor was needing it was evangelistic material with sound teaching. As Francisco told him about the purpose of our programs he immediately accepted to sponsor both programs in a secular radio station. He also introduce our programs with the owners of other two stations, and praise the Lord both accepted to air the programs.
