Andres with the pastor, owner of a radio station in the Comuna Renca

Andrés Carrasco travels through different regions of Chile with the main purpose of make available our programs in regions where Christian ministries are barely willing to enter due to the distances, or due to the danger that involves certain neighborhoods in large cities. Within the last two years, Andres has been trying to contact several radio stations located in the Comuna Renca. This municipality, located in the suburban area of Santiago, has a population of approximately 150,000 inhabitants. For many years this place has been a red zone for the authorities, due to the strong proliferation of drugs and prostitution. The sexual exploitation of children is an epidemic tragedy that affects not only the people that lives in Renca, but also to those that live in other areas of the capital. Andres has visited several times this place, trying to establish contact with owners of radio stations, or churches that would be able to sponsor our programs. As he walks through this dangerous neighborhood, he has been able to see firsthand, the misery and the spiritual warfare that take place every night, as the immorality and the addictions show their power on the streets. In spite of the risks, Andres has been able to establish contact with owners of Christian radio stations. Many of them have expressed their gratitude to Andres, for taking the time to go into this dangerous place, to supply them with our programs. A constant problem that the owners of these Christian stations find, is that many Christian programs do not explain clearly the Biblical truths, and do not present clearly the good news of salvation in Christ. Another problem is that many Christian radio programs, quite often are requesting for donations. In a neighborhood like Renca, what is needed is the powerful message of salvation in Christ, and we thank the Lord because seven radio stations are airing our programs.
