ROBERTO & PATY CAPDEVILA

Argentina has twenty-three provinces, and Buenos Aires is an autonomous city. There are 1.1 square miles in this country, making it the second largest country in South America. It is not easy to contact radio stations all over this country. But morality in this country is going down extremely fast. A few years ago, abortion was legalized. Many Indigenous people face obstacles in accessing justice, land, education, health care, and basic services. Argentina was the first Latin American country to legalize same-sex marriage. Not long ago, a former president recognized non-binary identities. It means that Argentinians can choose a “third gender category. Approximately 77% of its population is Roman Catholic, and 11% is Atheist and Agnostic. A 9% is considered Evangelical, but this number includes mostly neo-charismatic movements that lack a solid Biblical doctrine. In this context, our missionaries, Roberto, and Paty Capdevila, have been establishing different strategies to reach more outlets to proclaim the Gospel in Argentina. Since joining SWM in 2015, they have desired to find ways to expose more people to the Gospel. The need to reach millions of people with the Gospel is overwhelming, but thanks to their commitment, our programs are broadcast 3,457 times weekly through almost 300 radio stations!
