Many people in Bolivia consider that humanist philosophies will resolve the problems that are affecting the society

One official event organized by the government at the beginning of this year, took place in Tiahuanacu, a famous region known for the Inca ruins. Among many aspects related with the official purpose of this event, one of the highlights were the rituals and sacrifices performed during the event. Perhaps for the authorities that came from other countries, these indigenous ceremonies where nothing more than cultural expressions. But for the people of Bolivia, this event reflected a strong reinforcement and return to the worship of the pre-Hispanic deities. At the same time, many people in this country consider that humanist philosophies will resolve the problems that are affecting the society at every level. On the other hand, the traditional religion that was established by the Spaniards, is trying to rekindle the devotion from many bolivianos that have lost interest in the Catholic traditions. At the light of these realities that are taking place in Bolivia, as a ministry we are deeply committed to take the truth of the Gospel to many people as possible in this country. Few months ago, our missionary Pedro Salces traveled to the region of Sinahota, located 200 miles east from Santa Cruz. For decades, this part of the country has been well known for the large coca plantations. As he traveled, Pedro was able to visit four small towns and praise the Lord three stations agreed to air the programs. He also contacted four pastors. All of them are willing to promote the programs in other stations. In the town of Ivirgarsama, he tried to contact the owner of a station that was transmitting the programs, but unfortunately the stations has been shut down. While he was looking for another station, he visited a small church. The pastor received Pedro and after a brief conversation this pastor requested the programs to sponsor them in a local radio station. He also asked for extra material to promote the programs with pastors in the nearby regions. Now our programs are broadcasted through 135 radio stations. Our prayer is that many will come to the knowledge of the only living God and will set their trust in Christ.
