In Paraguay, only five percent of the population claim to be Evangelicals

During these last three months, God has blessed our efforts as we try to seek new outlets for the broadcasting of our materials. Twenty-seven stations have been visited, nine of them for the first time, and four agreed to air the programs. With these new stations, we are reaching 264 stations receiving and airing the exposition of God’s Word. In Paraguay, only five percent of the population claim to be Evangelicals. It means that ninety-five percent of the population in this country is walking in darkness. Certainly, many people must be reached and exposed to the message of hope in Christ. I am thankful to the Lord because He his opening doors in many secular stations. About seventy percent of the stations included in our database are secular; therefore, they only broadcast philosophies that belong to this world. As I visit the directors of the radio stations, they understand that our programs aim to the need of the people in Paraguay. Few months ago, I visited the owner of the station “Virtual FM 106.9” in the town of Caaguazú. During our conversation, he told me that he had heard about programs sometime ago, but he rejected to have Christian programs since “they always ask for money”. As he heard the sample of our programs, he realized that their content did not match with the concept that he had about Christian programs. He wanted to learn more about purpose of our ministry and at the end of our conversation, he gave me the assurance that he would try to find a space for the programs. Praise the Lord the following week he confirmed the broadcasting of our three-minute programs, several times during the weekends. Our trust is that many people in Caaguazú will hear the Gospel and will respond to the invitation of trusting in Jesus as their personal savior.
