DANIEL & BETTY HUENULAF
With a population of 17.5 million, Chile is the world’s southernmost country. As of 2020, around 36% of the population declared religiously unaffiliated. After Uruguay, this country has the second highest rate of non-affiliated people in Latin America. Approximately 42% of the population follows the traditions imposed by the Spaniards. Interestingly, according to a Pew Research report, only 27% of Chileans say religion is significant in their lives. If we consider what this study reveals, it means that less than 5 million people might be interested in religion. Certainly, some Chileans follow the religious tradition inherited from their parents. Though the constitution provides freedom of religion, it is evident that the people all over Chile have no interest in spiritual matters. Considering these facts, it is clear that the Gospel must be reaching the ears and the hearts of millions of Chileans. Thanks to the presence of our ministry in this country for several years, God has opened doors in radio stations in different regions of Chile. Since 2018, Daniel and Betty Huenulaf have represented our ministry in this country, and thanks to their commitment, the number of outlets has been increasing. Currently, we have 240 radio stations airing the message of the Gospel all over Chile. It means over 4,300 weekly broadcasts.
